The firmware on this version of this set isn't as clear as the firmware on the Seiki version of this tv. Maybe this setting has to be changed to HDMI2.0 before you connect the Xbox One S ? If it relies on EDID data from the display to output the correct resolution, it won't get that info from the tv unless its set for the HDMI2.0 EDID. In the System settings page, Advanced(I think), there's a setting to change the HDMI EDID from version 1(which I assume is HDMI1.4) to version 2(which I assume is HDMI2.0). I even found a nice long detailed post from a forum somewhere that detailed exactly what make/model was exactly the same as what other make/model complete with firmware intercompatibility etc., but I forgot to bookmark it and haven't been able to find it again !

So the built in Netflix app is well worth the extra $50. If you buy a 4K tv without built in Netflix, an outboard device is necessary, and the cheapest "approved" one is at least another $100.
The ONLY way to get Netflix 4K content is with an "approved" device, and the tv's built in Netflix is approved. The Westinghouse is a better bargain because of the apps. My previous experience with a cheep 32" RCA was not great. The other cheep 55 UHD (RCA at Superstore) is the same price + NOTAX today.īut, It lacks an Internet connection and reviews say the picture quality is not-so-good. Warranty coverage can be extended to 2 yrs by paying with a credit card.that gives double the 1 yr warranty period. The TV either works fine or is DOA on arrival or shortly after. My overall takeaway: Great picture, not so great sound, SMART TV features are fixed, can't add other apps. RE Reviews: Like many others, one can find what you wanna find in them. Bought online just as the price changed to $398 at midnight.
